Dear Dinobone,
I am trying to find the lyrics for a funny song called "The Century Plant." It's about a guy who gives his lady friend a plant and that he will come back to her when it blooms. One of the lines I remember is "But she don't know it's a century plant and it blooms every hundred years."
Dear Writer,
Gee I really wish I could help you! I'm afraid the song doesn't ring a bell and I did an internet search for the song and came up with nothing. Like I've told others, if I do hear of the song in the future, I will post it here. Thank you for asking.
Your friend, Dinobone
Dear Dinobone,
Could you put some easy dinobone activities here?
Dear Writer,
That's a great idea! I will talk to Kim and see if we can come up with some things over the next year. Thank you for asking!

Dear Dinobone,
Where do you get carnivores?
Dear Writer,
Do you mean carnivore bones? Many times carnivore (meat-eating) bones can be found at the same places where the herbivore (plant-eating) dinosaurs used to feed. The T-Rex is a good example of a carnivore dinosaur. Hope I answered your question!

Dear Dinobone,
Have you heard?
Little Old Rented Row Boat
Not much better than no boat.
At least when I rowed,
it would go go go.
At least when I rowed it would go.
Do you know who sang it?
Dear Writer,
I wish I could tell you who sang it but unfortunately I don't know. If I come across it I will definately post it here. Thank you for sending the song, I always love to hear different versions of familiar songs.

Dear Dinobone,
I like your story. How did you get your name?
Caitlin, age 7
Dear Caitlin,
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my story. It's true the story doesn't tell how I got my name! After the children found me and before I sang the song, Charlie said, "What should we call him?" Rachel said, "He's a Dinosaur bone... let's call him DINOBONE!" Hearing my new name made me want to sing and dance!

Dear Dinobone,
Where can I find children sheet music online?
Dear Writer,
A source I found for ordering music online is Hal Leonard Publishers http://www.halleonard.com/ Also, if you type in the search engine field 'sheet music online' at Yahoo.com you'll get some other links to try. http://www.yahoo.com/. You may be able to find some sources at Yahoo where you can download sheet music too. Good luck!

Dear Dinobone,
Do you know any game or activity about bones or bone bank? Please respond.
Kristin
Dear Kristin,
I haven't found too many games or activities about bones but I'll keep looking. I think there was a card game called "Funny Bone" in the 1970's. I'm not sure if it's still out. As I keep finding more activities, I'll post them on the message board. Thank you for asking! And thank you for explaining that a bone bank is where your body makes deposits and withdrawals of calcium everyday!
